Privacy policy

This policy describes how Rise & Testify (“we,” “us”) handles information when you visit riseandtestify.org and related pages we operate. It is meant to be readable, not a substitute for legal advice.

Who we are

The site is run by a small local ministry team. For privacy questions, contact us through the Connect page.

Information we collect

  • Connect form. If you use Connect, we receive what you type (for example name, email, and message) so we can respond. Messages are sent by email to the address configured for the site and may also be stored in our database for our records.
  • Share your story (private). The share your story form sends your submission only to our team. It is not shown on public pages.
  • Admin sign-in. Authorized maintainers can sign in to restricted areas. Authentication is handled by our database provider; your browser may store session cookies needed to stay signed in.
  • Admin content assistant. If a maintainer uses the in-site chat tool, the text of those messages is sent to Groq (USA) to generate replies. Do not paste sensitive personal data into the assistant unless you accept that risk.
  • Technical data. Hosting and analytics services may process standard server or device information (such as IP address, browser type, and coarse location) as part of operating the site. We do not use this to sell your personal information.

How we use information

We use the above to:

  • Reply to people who contact us and operate gatherings and ministry communication.
  • Store site content and private submissions in our database.
  • Keep the site secure and understand aggregate traffic (analytics).
  • Allow authorized admins to update wording and review private story submissions.

Services we use (subprocessors)

We rely on vendors that process data on our behalf. Their own policies also apply.

  • Vercel — hosts the website (USA / global edge).
  • Supabase — database, authentication for admins, and file storage for public audio when used.
  • Resend — delivers email from the Connect form to our inbox.
  • Groq — powers the optional admin chat assistant (maintainers only).
  • Vercel Analytics — lightweight, privacy-oriented usage metrics for the public site.

Cookies and storage

We use cookies or similar storage where needed for admin sessions (Supabase) and for analytics (Vercel). Public visitors are not required to create an account.

Retention

We keep form submissions and operational logs only as long as needed to respond, run the ministry, and meet reasonable security or legal requirements. Private story submissions may be archived or deleted by admins over time.

Your choices

You may contact us via Connect to ask about what we hold about you, to correct obvious mistakes, or to request deletion where applicable. We will respond as we reasonably can for a small volunteer-led team.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child submitted personal information, contact us and we will work to remove it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
